It seems like every six months...

...I am without a car. I got home Friday night and parked my car as usual in the driveway. Come Saturday when I went to leave, my car would not start. There were no warning signs, just a huge hunk of metal, plastic and rubber that refused to be a car. It was back in November when the fuel pump went bad, in March my fuel injectors got clogged, who knows what this problem will end up being. I'm beginning to believe the feeling that have have had for a while now. "Never let Pep Boys touch your car." I got my car inspected there in July. Me thinks that may not have been the wisest thing to do.

I am just shy of having the car 2 years and have only put about 17,000 miles on it. Why can't it wait until I have some more money saved up to start acting up? Because of this I have to put off buying myself something for my b-day, well at least until I find out how much it will cost me to fix it.

Here's a novel idea. Buy a decent car to start with and you won't have these problems.

Gee, how hard was that?

Wow. Buy a good car. I never thought about that before...it all seems so obvious now.....

My "check engine" light is on. Again. That stupid light never seems to want to go off.

Engine light, huh? That just means it wants a hug. Or you to play with its spark plugs. I forget.

Yeah, same olde song and dance. Supposedly this is my last freebie. We'll just see about that.

P: You could just grab some electrical tape and put it over the light and pretend it does not exist. Or do as Ryan says and give the plugs a little action.

R: Is that how you keep your car purring?
